Copper Impressions by Ron Sheldon
I patina copper with a torch and acid. Then I trace my design into the back of the copper and push out the detail by hand with small tools. Then I burnish off the patina from the image so I am painting on the bright copper. I use alcohol based inks which are semi-transparent allowing the glow of the copper to enhance the painting. I seal the painting with a museum quality spray varnish. They are framed for wall hanging.
