Following retirement from architecture in 2004, he shifted his focus to drawing and painting. He has
been able to study classical principles with several excellent local teachers. His primary drawing
medium is charcoal and he paints in oils.
Corbett and the surrounding area provide plenty of subject matter for his work, beginning right at home
in the beautiful garden tended by his wife Kathleen. He is currently working on a series of paintings of
the bridges of the Columbia River Scenic Highway.
